Overland & Off-Road Shop

Building and Outfitting 4×4 Platforms for Capable Travel to Remote Destinations

At Idaho Overland & Off-Road, we take a customer-focused, consultative approach to every build. No cookie-cutter kits, no sales pitch, just real conversations to figure out what you want from your vehicle and what kind of adventures you’re building for. From there, we help you dial in the right gear, the right system, and the right setup to get you there.

We bring vendor expertise across more than 100 trusted brands in the off-road and overland industry. Whether it’s a Toyota, Jeep, or Ford platform, we know what fits, what works together, and what holds up over time. If we wouldn’t run it on our own rigs, we won’t sell it to you.

Over 45 Years of Combined Experience

Before launching daho Overland & Off-Road, we spent over five years managing Land Cruiser restorations at a world-renowned Toyota shop. We weren’t just turning wrenches… we guided clients through full two-year build cycles, helping them navigate every decision from drivetrain to final trim. That experience shaped how we work today: always hands-on, always detail-oriented, and always looking at the big picture.

We’ve been building, testing, and wheeling our own vehicles for over four decades. Our passion runs deep… my first rig was a 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60, and my co-owner’s was a 1978 CJ7. We took them on the Rubicon Trail just a few months after picking them up and started modifying them not long after. We’ve never stopped.

Rooted in the Off-Road Community

We stay heavily involved in the off-road and overland community. You’ll find us supporting events like Rubithon, Jeepers Jamboree, Cruise Moab, and SEMA, and giving back through open space conservation and trail cleanup efforts. We’re proud members of the TLCA and strong advocates for protecting public lands across Idaho and the West.

Whether you’re starting your first build or planning a full-blown expedition rig, we’re here to help you build something worth exploring in.
